Well what to do when heading back to Edinburgh after several days of distillery visits?
Go Casteling and to the Huntly Falconry Center of course!

The Soulmates atAuchindoun Castle
The Soulmates, Judy and Dirk, tend to wander the countryside of the places we visit. Since we were in Scotland what better thing to do than to go in search of castles… Surprisingly we found some .
While Castle Hunting we found a sign pointing to a Falconry Center… Looking at each other, with Judy being a bird lover we shrugged and said “…Of course we were going there.”
After winding through the countryside to and from Auchindoun Castle, we headed off to the Huntly Falconry.

When we arrived it was off hours time. The folks there were kind and toured us through despite this, even enabling us to visit directly with various of the Owl’s. The Falconry is place where all sorts of birds of prey from around the world are housed and cared for. Judy of course had to visit up-close-and-personal with several of the hunters including a Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, and Eurasian-Eagle Owl.

So if you decide to go out and about, consider the Huntly Falconry. where close encounters can be secured with one or more of several species.
