Judy Cziprian and I of https://www.soulmatestraveling.com stopped in to the newer #ShrimpStation in #Kapaa for lunch (many will remember the original #ShrimpStation in #Waimea on the west shore of the island. Always a tasty break from testing a the Pacific Missile Range Facility ( #PMRF ). While basic accommodations (Subway) was available to us contractors at PMRF, a little variety and spice was certainly a good thing.
Judy and I enjoyed plates of Sweet Garlic shrimp and Spicy Thai Shrimp. Both lived up to their names and our expectations. The only down side to the very fresh preparation was that the shrimp are un peeled and thus messy and much of the delicious sauce stays with the shrimp exoskeleton and thus not available for the rice.
So were the shrimp to be peeled, we would have enjoyed them more. Yeah I know would have added 5 min per plate… OK so bill me xtra.
Also in planning to be a diner at the Shrimp Station, get a spare paper towel to pile the exoskeletons on so there is room on your plate for blending the rice with the available yummy sweet or spicy sauce.
